Abundance and Stewardship: October with Wise Wives
As we step into October, our theme reminds us of God’s order: abundance first, then stewardship. Before Adam was given responsibility to tend the garden, God had already created Eden in full provision.
Abundance: God’s Promise
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Abundance is more than material wealth, it is peace, joy, wisdom, and the freedom to live fully in God’s provision.
Stewardship: Our Response
Abundance is God’s gift, but stewardship is our trust. “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2). We are caretakers, not owners. Every resource, from our gifts to our time, from our relationships to our finances, belongs to Him.
Stewardship is not controlling time but stewarding how we use the time given. Priorities matter. Each “yes” or “no” reveals whether we’re living aligned with God’s Kingdom or caught in the noise of the world.
Heart Before Hand
The condition of the heart shapes the workings of the hand. A sanctified heart produces sanctified stewardship. When abundance and stewardship work together, we experience fruitfulness that glorifies God and blesses generations.
Affirmations for October:
I live in the overflow of God’s abundance.
I steward with wisdom what God entrusts to me.
My heart, choices, and priorities are sanctified.
I use the time given to me with gratitude.
